Fenerbahce coach Jose Mourinho has confirmed that he doesn’t want his club to sign Cristiano Ronaldo because they don’t need him technically.
It was said months ago that Fenerbahce might be interested in signing Ronaldo next year at Mourinho’s behest, before Special One came out and made fun of the news.
The press repeatedly asked about the possibility of Fenerbahce signing Ronaldo, and Mourinho settled that in clear terms.
The Portuguese coach said in this regard, “Cristiano Ronaldo will not come to Fenerbahce. I have 3 great strikers and I don’t want another.”
He also added, “Cristiano will always be Cristiano, but I don’t want him in Fenerbahce.”
He concluded, “I am very happy and satisfied with the strikers I have on our list now.”
Fenerbahce has Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri, in addition to experienced scorer Edin Dzeko and famous Turkish striker Tosun.
Dzeko has scored 8 goals and is his team’s top scorer this season, while En-Nesyri has only 3 goals, while right winger Dusan Tadic is the second top scorer with 7 goals.
