Marca reported that Jose Mourinho asked his club Fenerbahce to try to sign Real Madrid star Arda Guler next winter.
Guler started his career with Fenerbahce until he became one of the most important stars of the Turkish league, then moved to Real Madrid in the summer of 2023 after fierce competition with Barcelona.
Speculations about Guler’s dissatisfaction with his experience at Real Madrid do not stop because he has not had many opportunities to participate so far, and therefore the option of leaving on loan always appears.
According to the latest report, Mourinho seeks to support his attacking midfield, and asked his club’s management to try to loan Guler until the end of the season.
“Special One” wants Guler’s deal to be a response to rival Galatasaray’s signing of Victor Osimhen, as he trusts Guler’s ability to make a difference.
Guler’s position on returning to Turkey, even if he is guaranteed to play as a starter, remains unknown, although it is expected that Real Madrid will welcome the idea of a loan to give the player more opportunities to play.
But at the same time, it is unknown whether Real Madrid will agree to loan the player to Turkey specifically due to the large differences in level from La Liga, and thus even Guler’s participation will not contribute much to his development.
