Manchester City has reached a verbal agreement with Omar Marmoush to move to them during the current winter transfer period, according to confirmations from the German network “Sky”.
Although Marmoush loves his club Eintracht Frankfurt and appreciates its fans very much, he decided that moving immediately to City is the best option for his career.
As for the English club, the top scorer in the German league has become the club’s first winter target based on the desire of coach Pep Guardiola, who aspires for Marmoush to solve the clear offensive crisis this season.
The biggest difficulty in completing this deal is in Eintracht Frankfurt due to its financial demands, although it recently seemed that the German club realizes that it will not be able to keep Marmoush until the end of the season.
According to “Sky”, Frankfurt wants to get 80 million euros from selling Marmoush in January, while City’s offer, which will arrive this week, will range between 50 and 60 million euros.
The two clubs are expected to try to find common ground, especially since the Egyptian player has clearly informed Frankfurt of his desire to move to City this month.
As for the Eagles, it seems that they have started preparing well for the departure of the 26-year-old, as press reports revealed that they have entered into negotiations with West Ham striker Niclas Füllkrug to succeed Marmoush.
