The Matrouh Criminal Court decided to postpone the verdict in Ahmed Fattouh’s case until the session of November 16.
The Zamalek player is being tried on charges of manslaughter of a police officer who was crossing the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road and was run over by Fattouh’s car, which he drove at a crazy speed that caused the victim’s body to split into pieces.
According to Egyptian media, the victim’s family waived their civil rights against Fattouh and reconciled with the player before Tuesday’s session in exchange for receiving blood money.
However, Fattouh faces charges of drug use while driving after tests proved that he had used hashish before the incident.
The final verdict in this case is scheduled to be issued on November 16 in a session that the player will attend again.
It is worth noting that Fattouh was released about a month ago on bail of 50 thousand pounds, and then returned to participate in Zamalek’s training normally, but he has not participated in any matches so far.
