The fans of Asociacion Atlético Internacional booed and mocked Neymar during their team’s match against Santos on Monday morning, but the response came quickly from the Brazilian star.
Santos won a corner kick in the 26th minute, and while Neymar was going to take it, the fans booed him, and the 32-year-old did not seem to care about that and asked the fans to continue what they were doing.
Neymar took the corner kick but in a very surprising way, as he put it very skillfully into the net of Asociacion Atlético Internacional to respond perfectly to the fans’ attacks against him.
Neymar’s contributions did not stop there, but reached the point of creating two other goals in the match that ended with Santos winning 3-0 in the Sao Paulo State Cup.
After the match, Neymar commented on what happened, saying, “I was about to take the corner kick, and the opposing team’s fans provoked me, and I made the first assist.” He added, “Then they did it again, so I said to myself that I must score an Olympic goal, and I did it.”
