The Brazilian UOL network reported that Neymar has made his decision to leave Al Hilal at the end of his contract and return again to his home country.
Neymar only participated in a few matches with Al Hilal, and then he suffered a cruciate ligament tear, which caused the end of his season.
The Brazilian international’s contract extends until the summer of 2025 with Al Hilal, and his basic plan is to leave the Blue Wave as soon as the contract ends, or six months before it.
Neymar aims to return again to the club where he started his career, Santos, as he wants to prepare with him to participate with Brazil in the 2026 World Cup.
The former Barcelona star wants to win the sympathy of the Brazilian fans and court them before the World Cup, and his way to do that is to return to Santos, and indeed coordination is being made for this to happen recently.
The Brazilian network says that Neymar’s camp met with the president of Santos last December to plan this return, which is scheduled to witness a very huge media campaign.
It remains to be noted that the 32-year-old wrote history when he was a player in Santos, where he played 140 matches in all competitions, scored 72 goals and made 35 assists, and also won many titles, most notably the Copa Libertadores.
