On the sidelines of the tournament, Neymar conducted a sarcastic interview during which he was asked about the best and ugliest player he played with in his career.
Regarding the best, Neymar said, “Messi is the best player I have ever seen in my life, and if he is excluded, I will say that the best of his teammates is Andres Iniesta.”
As for the ugliest, he said, “I played with a lot. I don’t want to say the ugliest. This would be annoying, but I choose Vinicius.”
He concluded, “Vinnie, I love you so much, I love you more than ever.”
Neymar’s words should not be taken as an insult, as they were in a sarcastic context towards the Real Madrid star, and it is assumed that he accepted what the former Barcelona star said without a crisis.
