German defender Mats Hummels has completed his move to his new club after ending his career with Borussia Dortmund at the end of last season.
Hummels’ name has been linked to several Spanish clubs, and it was said that he may be a target for Barcelona as a free transfer, and he was also close to Real Sociedad and Real Mallorca.
But in the end, Hummels will play next season with Roma.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 35-year-old signed a one-season contract with the Wolves.
The German international will receive 2 million euros annually, which is a very small salary compared to what he was receiving in Germany, in addition to some other bonuses.
It is worth noting that Hummels will be Roma’s second reinforcement in the heart of the defense, after the Italian club signed Mario Hermoso for free as well hours after the end of the summer Mercato.
