Sky Sports has revealed that an English club is interested in signing Barcelona player Vitor Roque, and that negotiations are relatively positive so far.
Barcelona hopes to get rid of the Brazilian player after he was completely out of coach Hansi Flick’s plans, but only on the condition of being compensated for what they paid for him last January, around 40 million euros.
According to Sky, Everton has sent an official offer to Barcelona worth 25 million euros plus another 3 million in add-ons, but Barcelona immediately rejected the offer due to the low financial value.
Barcelona wants to get a value between 30 and 35 million euros, and indications are that Everton may likely agree to that.
The English club is currently in contact with Barcelona’s sporting director Deco, and negotiations are promising that both parties may find common ground soon.
It is worth mentioning that Roque, who is 19 years old, has rejected several offers from Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia because he wants to continue either at Barcelona or in Europe in general.
