Atletico Madrid’s management has reached an agreement with their counterparts at Chelsea to purchase Joao Felix, as confirmed by journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Felix’s loan to Barcelona ended at the end of last season, and he returned to Atletico, with Barca unable to bring him back due to the economic crisis and the high demands of the Rojiblancos.
Chelsea had wanted to sign Samuel Omorodion, but the deal collapsed at the last minute, leading them to turn their attention to Joao Felix.
Felix has agreed to return to Chelsea once again, in a deal worth more than 60 million euros, which has helped finalize another deal, the transfer of Conor Gallagher from the Blues to the Rojiblancos.
The Portuguese international will sign a six-year contract with the option of an additional year at Stamford Bridge.
It is worth noting that Felix, 24, played for Chelsea for six months in the 2022-2023 season on loan, but failed to make the expected impact at that time.
