Nothing new… Messi scores a world-class goal in the MLS

Lionel Messi opened his MLS scoring account this season in an exceptional manner during the match between Inter Miami and Atlanta United early Monday morning.

Atalanta surprised their visitors with an early goal in the 11th minute through Emanuel Latti Laz, but the response came in a magnificent and impressive way, as usual, from Lionel Messi.

The Flea took advantage of a defensive error in the 20th minute to break the deadlock, then lobbed the ball over the goalkeeper in his usual manner, tying the game.

In the final minute, Vava Picault scored the precious winning goal for Javier Mascherano’s side.

The Argentine coach commented on Messi’s goal, saying, “He is capable of scoring the most beautiful goals you can see. Only the best in history score such goals.”

The victory over Atlanta United secured Inter Miami’s top spot in the Eastern Conference with 10 points after four rounds, one point ahead of second-place Philadelphia Union.
