Official: Arne Slot suspended for Everton match incidents

The English Football Association has punished Liverpool manager Arne Slot for his actions in the Reds’ match against Everton two weeks ago in the Premier League.

The Dutch coach received a red card after the final whistle of the match, which ended in a 2-2 draw, after he objected excessively to the referee’s decisions.

The English Football Association considered that Slot behaved in an inappropriate manner and used insulting and abusive words towards the referee and his assistant, which is the same behavior that his assistant Spike Hulshof did.

On this basis, Slot was suspended for two matches from being present in the Liverpool technical area, with a fine of 70 thousand pounds.

As for his assistant, he also received the same suspension penalty, with a lesser fine of only 7 thousand pounds.

Thus, the Dutchman will miss the Reds’ next two matches in the Premier League against Newcastle on Wednesday and Southampton on Saturday, March 8.
