Official: New date announced for Barcelona vs. Osasuna match

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has announced the new date for the postponed Barcelona vs. Osasuna match from Round 27 of La Liga.

The match was originally scheduled for March 8, but due to the sudden death of Barcelona’s doctor, it was postponed to a later date.

The RFEF decided to hold the match on Thursday, March 27, immediately after the international break.

This means Barcelona will enter the match without its Latin players, particularly Raphinha and Ronald Araujo, due to the difficulty of returning from their home countries before that date.

Barcelona had wanted the match to be played at the end of May, specifically on the 21st, but all other parties refused.

The RFEF justified its refusal to hold the match between Rounds 37 and 38 by claiming it could harm the fairness of the competition.

It’s worth noting that Barcelona shares the lead in La Liga with Real Madrid, with Hansi Flick’s side having the better goal difference. A win over Osasuna would open up a three-point gap between Barça and Real Madrid.
