Official Response from Al-Ahly: Will Ronaldo Join the Egyptian Club for the Club World Cup?

An official source within Al-Ahly denied the rumors circulating about the possibility of Cristiano Ronaldo joining the Egyptian club to participate in the 2025 Club World Cup.

Rumors are escalating about Ronaldo’s participation in the World Cup scheduled for the United States, amid a strong desire from FIFA President Gianni Infantino for a “last dance” with the Portuguese star.

Some reports circulated that Al-Ahly, considering they will face Inter Miami in the tournament’s opening match, is seeking to sign Ronaldo and is keen to see Lionel Messi face Ronaldo one last time.

An official source responded to the FilGoal website, saying, “Ronaldo is well known and is part of football history, but there is nothing that connects him to Al-Ahly.”

He also added, “All the rumors about the possibility of Ronaldo moving to us are baseless.”

Marca newspaper revealed that Ronaldo may receive an invitation from a major club to participate in the Club World Cup, but the identity of that club has not been revealed.

It is currently certain that the 40-year-old will not wear the Al Hilal jersey in the Club World Cup, and the player himself is not eager to participate in the tournament, contrary to what is being reported.
