FIFA announced that Borussia Dortmund has qualified for the 2025 Club World Cup thanks to Real Madrid.
The Royal Club succeeded in eliminating Leipzig from the round of 16 of the Champions League, and thus Dortmund guaranteed participation in the new tournament due to its European classification.
12 teams from the Old Continent are scheduled to participate in the tournament to be held in the United States of America, with the participation of 32 clubs from various continents of the world.
With Leipzig’s exit, Dortmund is in ninth place in the UEFA rankings, leaving only 3 other cards remaining in front of the rest of the Old Continent’s teams, which will be determined in the coming period.
It is noteworthy that the clubs that have qualified so far for the Club World Cup from Europe are Real Madrid, Manchester City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Porto and Benfica.
