Al-Ahly announced in an official statement that it has concluded a surprise deal to support the team in preparation for the 2025 Club World Cup.
Al-Ahly is participating in the competition scheduled to be held in the United States of America in Group One along with Inter Miami, Palmeiras and Porto.
It seems that the Red Giant has started early in preparing for the competition scheduled to start in June 2025, by concluding a major deal without any controversy.
Al-Ahly obtained the services of Hamdi Fathi on loan from Al-Wakrah to participate with the Egyptian club in the Club World Cup.
Al-Ahly President Mahmoud Al-Khatib took advantage of his presence in Qatar to participate with his team in the Intercontinental Cup, and met with Sheikh Khalifa bin Hassan, President of Al-Wakrah Club, and they agreed to complete the deal.
Hamdi Fathi will join Al-Ahly immediately after the end of the current season directly after “FIFA” exceptionally opened the registration period for clubs participating in the World Cup from June 1 to 10.
Hamdi Fathi played for Al-Ahly for years before moving to Al-Wakrah in the summer of 2023 in a deal estimated at $3 million at the time.
The financial value of the loan of the Egyptian international to participate in the upcoming World Cup has not been announced.
