Officially.. Ancelotti and Modric are the most successful in Real Madrid’s history!

With Real Madrid’s 3-0 victory over Pachuca in the 2024 Intercontinental Cup final, Carlo Ancelotti became the most successful coach in the royal club, as well as Luka Modric, the most successful player in the history of the Merengue.

Ancelotti took over Real Madrid in 2013, succeeding Jose Mourinho and continued for two years with the Merengue before his departure, then returned again in 2021, succeeding Zinedine Zidane, and is spending his third season at the Santiago Bernabeu.

In 5 seasons distributed over two periods, Ancelotti achieved 15 championships, thus surpassing Miguel Muniz (14 championships) and becoming the most successful coach in Real Madrid’s history.

The Italian coach led Real Madrid to win the Spanish League title twice, the Champions League 3 times, the King’s Cup once, the European Super Cup 3 times, the Spanish Super Cup 3 times, and the Club World Cup 3 times.

In the same context, Luka Modric ended his partnership with Dani Carvajal, and became the most successful player in Real Madrid’s history with 28 titles.

Unfortunately for Carvajal, the Intercontinental Cup will not count for him due to his cruciate ligament injury, while Modric is now the most decorated player in the Merengue jersey in his 11-year journey in the Spanish capital.
