Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Aurelien Tchouaméni will not be able to participate with the Royal Club in the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund.
The French player suffered an injury against Bayern Munich in the second leg of the semi-final, and after he underwent tests, it was revealed that there was a strain in the left foot.
Although the player was optimistic about the possibility of joining the final, Ancelotti stressed that he needed more time to recover and that it was impossible for him to be present in the match scheduled to be held at Wembley Stadium.
In the press conference for Real Madrid’s last match in La Liga against Real Betis, Ancelotti said, “Tchouaméni will not be able to be in the Champions League final.”
He also added, “Now his efforts will focus on recovery so that he can join Euro 2024.”
French media had indicated that the 23-year-old might miss France’s first Euro match, but it was unlikely that he would miss the entire competition.
