The English Premier League announced that Alejandro Garnacho’s goal with Manchester United against Everton won the award for the best goal in the competition for the 2023-2024 season.
The Argentine international took advantage of a cross from Diogo Dalot, then made a scissor kick that could be described as legendary, hitting goalkeeper Jordan Pickford in a match that ended with United winning 3-0 at Goodison Park.
Jarnacho won the Best Goal Award in November 2023 after this goal, and now he is crowned with the Goal of the Season award and becomes the fourth United player to win this award throughout history.
Despite United’s modest levels this season, Jarnacho was one of the stars of Erik ten Hag’s squad, as he scored 10 goals and assisted 5 others in 50 matches in all tournaments.
United ranked eighth in the Premier League, but Jarnacho, with an amazing performance in the FA Cup final, led the Red Devils to win the title after defeating Manchester City 2-1 in the final match, in which he scored a wonderful goal.
