Bayern Munich announced the signing of Michael Olise from Crystal Palace on a five-season contract.
Olise is considered one of the most important players in the English Premier League last season, and was the subject of interest from many major clubs before the Bavarian club succeeded in finalizing the deal.
According to German media, the deal cost the Bavarian giant’s coffers approximately 60 million euros, which is the value of the release clause in the player’s contract with Crystal Palace.
Olise is Bayern’s second official signing in the summer Mercato, after signing centre-back Hiroki Ito from Stuttgart for 22 million euros.
At the same time, Fulham player João Palhinha underwent a medical examination in Munich in the past few days, and he will also be announced as a Bavarian player in the next few hours.
The Portuguese international’s transfer to Bayern will be worth 51 million euros, and he joins after he was on the doorstep of the Allianz Arena last January and before the deal failed in a strange way.
Bayern’s moves will not stop there in the Mercato. According to Sky Sports, the agreement with Bayer Leverkusen’s management regarding the inclusion of Jonathan Tah has also become very imminent.
