Officially.. Real Madrid concludes a winter deal

Real Madrid announced on Friday evening that it had concluded a new winter deal, by contracting with Lamine Fati from Leganes.

The 18-year-old is a left-footed player who plays in the center-back position, and was the focus of attention of many Spanish clubs, most notably Valencia, and has attracted the attention of Real since last summer.

Real Madrid did not announce the value of the deal, but according to Spanish media, the royal club paid 100,000 euros to Leganes to get him now instead of waiting until the summer.

Fati will not join the first team of the royal club, but will play with the reserve team led by Raul Gonzalez and the under-19 team led by Alvaro Arbeloa, and he is considered for promotion in the future to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

Fati spoke about his move to Real Madrid, saying, “It was a dream for me and my family, I am very happy and ready to give everything I have for this club.”

Fati is seen as the future of Real Madrid’s defence, and there is a belief that the Raul Asensio scenario may be repeated with him, and he may soon reach the first team.
