Officially.. Salah becomes the historical top scorer for Africa in the Champions League

Mohamed Salah scored a goal during Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over Bologna in the second round of the Champions League.

The Egyptian international succeeded in creating the first goal scored by Alexis Mac Allister in the 11th minute, then scored the second goal himself in the 75th minute.

Salah’s usual left-footed shot into the right post of Bologna’s goalkeeper made him write a new history, after becoming the historical top scorer for African players in the Champions League.

Salah was tied with the legend Didier Drogba, each with 44 goals, but with his goal in Bologna, the Egyptian broke the deadlock by reaching goal number 45.

Salah scored 42 goals in the Champions League with Liverpool, while the other three goals came with Roma and two with Basel.

It is noteworthy that Salah, 32 years old, ranks 14th in the list of all-time top scorers in the Champions League, which is led by Cristiano Ronaldo with 140 goals.
