The Spanish Football Federation confirmed that Lamine Yamal is not suffering from an injury, but rather just a muscle discomfort.
The Barcelona star was seen limping as he left the field of the Spain-Denmark match, which caused panic among the Catalan club’s fans.
According to the newspaper “Sport”, Barça has contacted the Spanish Federation and requested that the 17-year-old return immediately to Catalonia to give him some rest.
Yamal underwent the necessary medical examinations on Sunday evening, which proved that he is not suffering from a serious injury, but rather just discomfort that only needs rest to get rid of.
Coach Luis de la Fuente decided, after consulting the medical staff, that Yamal should return to Barcelona to recover from this overload, and therefore he will miss the Serbia match scheduled for next Tuesday.
Accordingly, there is no risk to Yamal’s participation in Barcelona’s upcoming match against Sevilla, and unless there is anything new until then, he will lead the Blaugrana in the Clasico scheduled for October 26.
