The African and European clubs qualified for the 2025 Club World Cup in its exceptional edition were completed with the participation of 32 teams over the past few days.
The beginning in Europe was Arsenal’s farewell to the Champions League in the quarter-finals, and with it it was confirmed that Red Bull Salzburg would join 11 other European clubs in the World Cup in America.
As for Africa, there are only 4 seats, one of which was guaranteed by Al-Ahly of Egypt, as well as Wydad of Morocco, and with the Red Giants qualifying for the 2024 CAF Champions League final, two other teams were confirmed to qualify.
The two teams are Esperance of Tunisia for qualifying for the Champions League final this edition, and Mamelodi Sundowns for the total points they achieved in the competition over the last five years.
