Olmo Sets Barcelona a Deadline to Finalize His Transfer or Walk Away

Dani Olmo has put Barcelona officials under significant pressure by setting a deadline for the Catalan club to finalize his signing, otherwise, he will remain with Leipzig.

Catalan media has confirmed that Barcelona has reached an agreement with the player on all personal terms, and the most difficult part remains agreeing on a transfer fee with the German club.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Olmo has received other attractive offers from major clubs like Bayern Munich and Manchester City, but his desire was clear to move to Barcelona.

However, the Spanish international clearly wants to finalize his move to Barcelona before August 9th, which is the date of his return to training with Leipzig after his vacation.

As a result, Barcelona needs to reach an agreement with Leipzig, who are demanding €60 million, and also needs to find a place for the player on the team’s roster in compliance with Financial Fair Play regulations.

The Olmo deal appears to be complicated given that there are only 10 days left until the deadline set by the player for Barcelona to decide, and Barcelona officials may ask him for more time to fulfill all these requirements.
