Omar Al Somah returns to the Saudi League from a surprising club

Omar Al Somah will return to the Saudi League once again, but this time from a club other than the one that witnessed his historical brilliance, Al-Ahli Jeddah.

The Qatari club Al-Arabi announced the termination of Al Somah’s contract by mutual consent, making him a free agent and able to transfer to any club for free during the current winter transfer period.

According to Saudi media, Al Somah has completed his agreement with Al-Orouba Club, so that the Syrian international will return again to the Roshen League.

The 35-year-old Al Somah played for Al-Ahli from 2014 to 2022, then left after the “Castle of Cups” was relegated to the second division.

Throughout his career in the Saudi League, Al Somah has scored 143 goals in 180 matches, and he is ranked third among the competition’s top scorers throughout history.

Al-Soma’s new mission in Saudi Arabia will not be easy, given that Al-Orouba is competing for relegation and is ranked 13th with 13 points, only 4 points behind the first place leading to the Yelo League.
