Omar Kamal Abdel-Wahid reveals the truth about his bloody quarrel with Emam Ashour

Al-Ahly star Omar Kamal Abdel-Wahid denied everything that was reported by the media about a major quarrel that took place between him and Emam Ashour during the Red Castle’s training in the past few days.

Abdel-Wahid was transferred to the hospital after suffering a cut in the arteries of his hand, and there were conflicting accounts about the reason for this, as newspapers said that it was due to a quarrel with Emam Ashour, and Al-Ahly announced that it was due to his slipping while taking a shower.

The player responded in turn in an interview with Al-Ahly channel, revealing the truth, saying, “I hope that those who come out with incorrect stories verify their information first, because if someone other than me cannot bear it, they may be affected.”

He also added, “After the end of the training, I went to take a shower and my foot slipped, and when I tried to avoid falling, my hand went into a cracked part of the plastic surrounding the shower cabins.”

He concluded, “I cannot get into trouble with any of my colleagues, I am fine now and will return to training on Friday, and the injury was not serious at all, I only needed 10 minutes in the hospital for treatment.”

Al-Ahly is currently preparing for the match against Shabab Belouizdad next Sunday in the African Champions League, days after losing the Challenge Cup to Pachuca on penalties.
