Press reports indicate that Andre Onana has received a significant offer from the Saudi League, and that the Manchester United star’s move to the Roshen League is imminent.
The Cameroonian goalkeeper has been subjected to harsh criticism recently due to his performances, and United are said to be ready to let him leave in the summer if a good financial offer arrives.
According to the latest reports, Onana has received an offer from NEOM, a newly promoted club in the Saudi League, to join them next summer.
Onana was close to reaching an agreement with NEOM on all the details before the Saudi club moved forward and began negotiations with Manchester United regarding the deal.
Onana joined United from Inter Milan in the summer of 2023 for €50 million, but he has made little significant contribution and is one of the reasons for the Red Devils’ decline over the past two years.
The 29-year-old’s move to NEOM would be a win-win for both United and the player, as the Saudi club’s project is significant and is expected to be a contender for all titles within a short period.
Many prominent players are active at NEOM, including Saïd Benrahma, Mbaye Dieng, Salman Al-Faraj, and Ahmed Hegazi. The Saudi club has also been linked with several top European players, the most recent of whom was Jorginho.
