The Barcelona team went on a negative break after the Atletico Madrid match last Sunday, except for one player who refused and decided to train alone.
According to the newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”, this player is Ansu Fati, who asked coach Hansi Flick to agree to him training at the club’s headquarters during the break.
Flick immediately agreed to Fati’s request, which was also welcomed by sporting director Deco, given the player’s situation and the decline in his level in the last two years.
As a result, Barcelona put a group of specialists in various areas at Fati’s disposal from December 23 to 28.
Fati, 22, hopes to use this period to prepare well for the second half of the season, after missing most of the matches in the first half due to various injuries.
Barcelona were open to the idea of selling Fati next January, but Flick still wants to give the Spanish international another chance in the hope of regaining his usual level.
It is worth noting that Fati was injured at the beginning of the season and then in November, which was the reason for his participation in only 7 matches over the past three months, most of them as a substitute.
