Paris Saint-Germain’s management has finalized an agreement with their counterparts at Benfica to sign João Neves, with an official announcement expected soon.
The 19-year-old is considered one of the best young midfielders in the world and has been a target for several major clubs from England and Spain.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Paris Saint-Germain will sign Neves for a fixed fee of €60 million, plus €10 million in variables.
The deal will not stop there, as Benfica will receive the services of Renato Sanches on a season-long loan.
This is PSG’s second signing of the summer after Russian goalkeeper Matvei Safonov from Krasnodar for €20 million.
The French club’s attention will now turn to finalizing the deal for Victor Osimhen, although it seems difficult at the moment due to the difficulty of reaching an agreement with Napoli.
