Barcelona star Pedri commented on his team’s 2-1 defeat to Monaco in the Champions League by stressing that everything is going in the right direction within the Catalan club.
Barcelona completed the Monaco match, which was held at the Louis II Stadium, with ten players after Eric Garcia was sent off after the first ten minutes following a wrong pass from Ter Stegen.
Pedri said in this regard, “The expulsion was due to a communication error, this is normal and happens in football, but we must be careful and not repeat it again.”
He also added, “This is certainly not the way we wanted to start the Champions League, but I reassure the fans, we will do our best in the next seven matches.”
He continued, “We ran three times our normal run due to the numerical shortage, now we need to recover to be ready for Sunday’s match.”
He concluded, “The team is in very good physical condition, it is true that we feel tired now, but we are strong like a bull.”
It is noteworthy that Barcelona awaits a difficult match next Sunday in La Liga, when it visits Villarreal at La Ceramica Stadium in the sixth round matches.
