Defensa Central reported that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez had asked Vinicius Junior to score two goals in Bayern Munich’s upcoming Champions League semi-final second leg.
Vinicius was the scorer of Real Madrid’s two goals in the first leg at the Allianz Arena, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
The Royal Club celebrated achieving the Spanish League title for the thirty-sixth time in history on Saturday, after beating Cadiz 3-0 and losing Barcelona to Girona 4-2.
According to the latest report, Perez landed on the floor of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium after the Cadiz match in order to motivate the players before the upcoming Bayern Munich match.
While passing by Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, Perez stopped specifically at Vinicius Junior and joked with him, saying, “You specifically have to score at least two goals against Bayern, right?”
The Brazilian international enjoys a very special relationship with the Merengue president, and Spanish newspapers even previously said that Perez aspires to turn Vinicius into a potential contender for the Ballon d’Or annually.
Real Madrid needs to win against Bayern Munich at the Santiago Bernabeu to reach the final for the 22nd time in its European history to face the winner of Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain.
