Former Real Madrid scout Manolo Romero claimed that the club’s president Florentino Perez will accept selling Vinicius Junior to the Saudi League in one case only.
The Brazilian star received a fabulous offer last summer to move to the Saudi League, and Vinicius is said to have decided to postpone the decision until the summer of 2025.
The 24-year-old has a release clause of one billion euros, and some sources said that the Saudi League is willing to pay up to 300 million euros to Real Madrid to let its first star go.
Romero said in statements to Sport newspaper in response to that, “If the Saudis make an offer of more than 300 million, Perez will not only agree, but will accompany Vinicius himself to the airport.”
He also added, “The amount of 300 million euros cannot be refused, and Perez’s current favorite player is Mbappe, not Vinicius.”
“Perez waited 7 years to sign Mbappe, and now he has all his attention, unlike Vinicius who has caused several problems in recent years,” he concluded.
It remains to be noted that Vinicius is looking to achieve the Golden Ball, which makes the idea of moving to the Saudi League before doing so somewhat difficult, regardless of the financial temptations that may reach the point of obtaining a billion euros in 4 years.
