Barcelona legend Gerard Pique has praised Lionel Messi, describing him as an incomparable “alien player”.
Pique played alongside Messi for many years at Camp Nou and their relationship is still good, and on every occasion the former defender never stops praising the flea.
Pique said in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport about the comparison between Messi and the other legend Cristiano Ronaldo, “Yes, Ronaldo is one of the best players, without a doubt.”
He added, “But Messi does not belong to this planet, he is an alien who cannot be compared to anyone.”
He continued, “Messi is always different from others, I have seen him train every day and do unbelievable things.”
He concluded, “No other player will come to football with Messi’s speed of thinking and the iron will that I have, he has played in the same way since the beginning of his career.”
