Paul Pogba will not continue with Juventus after his suspension was reduced by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), and the two parties agreed to terminate their contract by mutual consent.
The French international is entitled to return to the stadiums starting in March 2025 after his doping penalty was reduced from 4 years to only 18 months.
Pogba’s contract with Juventus still extends until 2026, which raised many questions about his future and continuity with coach Thiago Motta’s squad.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Juventus and Pogba have the same desire, which is to sever ties between them.
Pogba believes that he needs a fresh start at a club other than Juve, while the Italian club sees the need to get rid of the player’s high salary of 10 million euros annually.
The two parties are supposed to meet in the coming days to agree on all the details and terminate the contract by mutual consent, and with it Pogba will be available for free to any club.
It is noteworthy that Italian newspapers previously suggested that the 31-year-old would move to the Saudi or Qatari leagues.
