English Premier League standings after Manchester City and Arsenal tied and Liverpool won
Sunday was a turning point in the Premier League standings, after Liverpool won 2-1 over Brighton, then Manchester City and Arsenal played out a 0-0 draw at the Etihad Stadium.
Brighton took the lead in the first minute through Danny Welbeck, but Liverpool was able to come back through Luis Diaz in the 27th minute and then Mohamed Salah in the 65th minute.
Arsenal played an excellent defensive match after that, and Erling Haaland was unable to decipher the Gunners’ defenses despite desperate attempts over the course of 90 minutes.
It can be said that Liverpool benefited most from Sunday’s matches in the 30th round of the Premier League, as they were unique in this way at the top of the competition standings.
Arsenal is well aware that a point from Al-Ittihad is better than defeat and gives them the opportunity to compete for the title, but in practice, City lost a lot in the struggle to maintain the shield with this draw.
