Sport newspaper reported that one of the stars of the English Premier League has offered his services through his agent to Barcelona to sign him next January.
This star is Chelsea player, Christopher Nkunku, who has recently suffered from a lack of continuous participation, especially since Enzo Maresca arrived to lead the Blues.
According to the newspaper close to Barça, Nkunku, through his agent Pini Zahavi, who has a close relationship with Barça president Joan Laporta, offered himself to join Camp Nou in January.
Nkunku is looking for a top club in Europe that will give him the opportunity to participate continuously and show his abilities, and he believes that he can shine a lot with Barcelona, especially since the Catalans are clearly suffering in the left wing position.
The French international has even become willing to take a significant reduction in his salary just to wear the Barcelona shirt, and despite the technical need for him, Joan Laporta’s management rules out completing the deal.
Barcelona’s main crisis is the economic situation, as the club does not have the money to buy Nkunku, and even if it could, it would not be able to register him due to the Financial Fair Play rules.
In general, Barcelona will not make any winter signings unless something serious happens, and the Catalan efforts will be focused on re-registering Dani Olmo and young Pau Victor while maintaining the basic structure of Hansi Flick’s squad.
Nkunku, who joined Chelsea for 60 million euros from Leipzig in 2023, participated in 25 matches this season, during which he scored 12 goals, most of them in the European Conference League (5 goals) and made 4 others.
