Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti expressed his satisfaction with his team’s 3-3 draw with Rayo Vallecano in the Spanish League on Saturday night.
The royal club missed the chance to go top of La Liga if they won their postponed match against Valencia after this draw, but Ancelotti believes that things are fine.
The Italian told the media after the match, “We are on the right path, I am satisfied with the performance and the result.”
He added, “We now have to end the year well, starting with winning the Intercontinental Cup, I have high hopes for 2025, but now we have to end the year perfectly.”
Ancelotti, meanwhile, criticised the referee, saying, “Vinicius deserved a penalty, it was a very clear shot.”
He concluded by mocking the Rayo Vallecano goalkeeper for wasting time, “He needs to get potassium so he doesn’t get cramps every minute, this is not the first time it has happened to him!”
Real Madrid will face Pachuca next Wednesday in the Intercontinental Cup, then Sevilla in La Liga on Sunday, taking a little rest before the start of a new year full of matches.
