According to AS, Real Madrid has offered River Plate €25 million for young player Franco Mastantuono.
Mastantuono is particularly trusted by Real Madrid’s director of football, Santiago Solari, who assures Real Madrid officials that they will never regret signing one of the best young players in the world right now.
The 17-year-old’s release clause with River Plate is €45 million, but Real Madrid does not want to pay that amount.
Things are moving inside the Santiago Bernabeu to finalize the deal for between €25 and €30 million at most, with the “Endrick formula” being applied to the Argentine player’s future.
This means that Mastantuono will not join Real Madrid immediately, but will be left for a year at River Plate until he turns 18 and then join Carlo Ancelotti’s squad starting from the summer of 2025.
It is worth noting that Real Madrid is not the only one interested in the young Argentine player, as it is said that Manchester City is also trying to get the player’s signature, and Barcelona was also in the picture for a while.
