The Spanish media unanimously agreed that Real Madrid does not intend to make any deal in the summer Mercato to compensate for the departure of Toni Kroos after the German’s decision to retire.
Kroos surprised everyone by announcing his retirement and rejecting the offer made to him by Real Madrid to renew for another year, due to his desire to end his career at the peak of its levels.
According to the newspaper “Marca”, there is great belief within the walls of Real Madrid that there is no need for a new player to replace Kroos in light of the presence of the duo Eduardo Camavinga and Arda Guler.
Officials believe that Camavinga has the necessary capabilities to replace Kroos, and therefore he will be Carlo Ancelotti’s first choice next season and will participate more.
Although Guler plays mainly as a winger, the main idea recently has been to rely on him in the midfield, and there is great optimism that he will succeed in this role and may be a good substitute for Kroos.
Real Madrid already has a large number of players in the midfield. In addition to Camavinga and Guler, there are Fede Valverde and Aurelien Tchouaméni, as well as Luka Modric, who is certain to continue next year.
