Real Madrid decides to sign its former player

“Sport” newspaper reported that Real Madrid’s management is still determined to sign a left-back during the current summer transfer period.

The main goal of the Royal Club was to win the services of Alphonso Davies, but the Canadian full-back currently seems closer to continuing with his club, Bayern Munich.

Real Madrid’s management has drawn up an alternative plan if the failure to include Davies is confirmed, represented by signing the former left-back at the Santiago Bernabéu and the current Milan player, Theo Hernandez.

Although the French player’s contract with Milan still extends until 2026, his departure seems possible if there is a good financial offer.

Previously, Theo was linked with a move to Bayern Munich to replace Davies, but once it is confirmed that the 23-year-old will continue at the Allianz Arena, Hernandez will be the first candidate to move to Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti wants Ferland Mendy to continue, but according to the Relivo network, the Frenchman’s departure this summer seems the most likely option.

There is only one year left on Mendy’s contract with Real Madrid, so the club wants to sell him to make some money behind him, with the exception of giving him an offer to extend his stay in the Spanish capital.

Thus, the matter is moving toward signing Theo Hernandez, who previously wore the Real Madrid shirt during the 2017-2018 season before being sold to Milan in 2019 for 22.8 million euros.
