Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano revealed Real Madrid’s final position on Arda Guler’s exit on loan during the current summer transfer period.
The Turk did not participate much in his first season at the Santiago Bernabeu due to injuries on the one hand, and his lack of the necessary confidence from coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Guler began to play more at the end of the season, and participated in 12 matches in all competitions, during which he scored 6 goals. The idea of loaning him out was proposed in order to gain some minutes instead of staying on the bench.
According to Romano, 7 clubs from Europe have all inquired about the possibility of signing Guler on loan this summer after the player showed on every occasion that he has huge potential and just needs time to show it.
However, Real Madrid informed the interested clubs, as well as Guler, that the decision is clear, which is that the 19-year-old will remain with Carlo Ancelotti’s squad and will have a greater opportunity to play next season.
Ancelotti recently confirmed the same thing, stressing that Guler only needs patience and will become one of the mainstays soon.
It is noteworthy that Real Madrid is planning for Güler not as a winger, but rather as a midfield player who could specifically succeed Luka Modric if he retires from football next season.
