The newspaper “AS” reported that Real Madrid’s management wants to sign Milan star Theo Hernandez in the next summer transfer period, but on one condition.
Theo previously played for Real Madrid between 2017 and 2019, but Zinedine Zidane’s lack of conviction in him led to his eventual sale to Milan for 22.3 million euros.
Hernandez’s relationship with his coach Paulo Fonseca collapsed, who recently began excluding him from matches, stressing that this was for technical reasons and not disciplinary ones as the newspapers claim.
Real Madrid sees it as an ideal opportunity to bring Hernandez back to the Santiago Bernabeu to solve the clear crisis on the left flank in light of Ferland Mendy’s failure to provide the hoped-for addition.
But at the same time, going for Hernandez’s option will only happen in one case, which is the failure to sign Bayern Munich full-back Alphonso Davies.
The Canadian player has not yet made a decision on whether to renew with Bayern or leave, and even if he decides to leave, there are other options with Real Madrid, and we are talking here about Barcelona and Liverpool.
As for Theo, he does not mind the idea of returning to Real, and he has announced more than once his aspiration to wear the white shirt again in the future.
The French international’s contract with Milan still extends until the summer of 2026, which will make Milan willing to reduce the required value to sell him next summer instead of leaving him for free the following year.
