Real Madrid is on the cusp of signing its second summer deal

The newspaper “Relevo” reported that Lille defender Lenny Yoro is on the verge of moving to Real Madrid during the current summer transfer window.

Supporting the center back with a new player is the Merengue’s priority this summer after the departure of captain Nacho and the presence of only Antonio Rudiger and Eder Militao in light of David Alaba’s injury and his failure to return before next October.

According to the latest report, negotiations between the administrations of Real Madrid and Lille are in very advanced stages, and it is assumed that an agreement will be reached on all the details within the next few days.

Yoro’s contract with Lille expires in the summer of 2025, which makes negotiations easier given that the French club would welcome selling him this summer instead of him leaving for free next summer.

Lille initially demanded a value of up to 60 million euros, but Real is not willing to pay more than 40 million euros for the player, and negotiations are currently underway to reach common ground soon.

On the player side, the 18-year-old rejected offers from Paris Saint-Germain and English clubs, and it was clear from the first moment that he wanted to join Real Madrid and nothing else.

Indeed, there is an agreement between the Real Madrid management and the player on all personal details, so that the agreement with Lille is the final step in resolving the second summer Mercato deal for the Champions League champion.

It is noteworthy that Real Madrid included Kylian Mbappe on a free basis after the end of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, and Yoro will practically be the third support this summer, after his compatriot and Endrik, who returns from his loan to Palmeiras.
