Real Madrid suffered another loss after Aurelien Tchouameni was injured during Tuesday’s match against Milan in the Champions League.
According to the newspaper “Marca”, the French international underwent tests on Wednesday morning that confirmed that he had suffered a severe sprain in his left ankle.
In principle, Tchouameni will be out for a month, and his absence could extend to 6 weeks in the worst case scenario.
Thus, the 23-year-old will miss the match against Osasuna in La Liga and the match against Liverpool in the Champions League, in addition to the match against Leganes and Getafe, and he may not be able to make it to the match against Athletic Bilbao as well.
It has also become certain that Tchouameni will not participate with the French national team in the upcoming international break, which begins next Monday.
Real Madrid is already suffering from several absences due to injuries, most notably the duo David Alaba and Dani Carvajal, in addition to goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
It remains to be noted that Tchouameni’s absence will most likely not be influential, as coach Ancelotti was planning to bench him after his decline in form this season.
