Real Madrid moves to sign the “new Bellingham”

Spanish media reported that Real Madrid is seeking to sign a young English player who is very similar to the Royal Club star Jude Bellingham.

Real Madrid has maintained its policy in recent years of focusing on signing distinguished young players instead of spending huge sums on large contracts.

According to recent reports, Real Madrid has been monitoring English midfielder Chris Rigg, Sunderland, over the past year, who is very similar to Bellingham in terms of abilities and potential.

The 17-year-old is of interest to many clubs, not just Real Madrid, specifically the German duo Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, who have moved to sign him.

Rig’s contract with Sunderland still extends until the summer of 2027, and in the last Mercato, Newcastle tried to sign him, but his club rejected the idea and insisted on continuing him for at least another year.

Dortmund have the advantage so far in the battle because of the Bellingham scenario, when they signed him from Birmingham City and after a few years he became one of the best players in the world, an idea that could tempt Rigg.

However, Real Madrid continue to monitor the player, and are expected to move in the coming months and present the player with a clear offer and project to convince him that the best option for his career is a move to the Santiago Bernabéu.
