Bild newspaper reported that Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich is interested in joining Real Madrid in the next summer transfer window.
The German international’s contract with Bayern Munich expires at the end of the current season, and so far negotiations between the two parties regarding renewal have not yielded a positive result.
The German newspaper claimed that Real Madrid is an interesting destination for Kimmich, who has already held very positive initial talks with Los Blancos officials.
However, Marca newspaper responded in a report on Friday by confirming that Real Madrid is not interested in signing the 29-year-old.
Florentino Perez’s administration does not see that the team needs a player with Kimmich’s specifications at the moment, despite its high appreciation for his potential.
Real Madrid is currently looking for a midfielder with specifications similar to Toni Kroos more than a number 6 player like Kimmich, and the priority goes to Martin Zubimendi, although the Basque is currently closer to joining Arsenal.
