Relevo network revealed that Real Madrid’s management has decided that the current season will be the last for Carlo Ancelotti in coaching the football team.
The Italian coach had renewed his contract with Real Madrid last year until the summer of 2026, but the current trend within Florentino Perez’s management is to thank him at the end of the current season.
Real Madrid agrees with Xabi Alonso to succeed Ancelotti
According to the report, Real Madrid’s management already has an agreement with current Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso to succeed Ancelotti in coaching the royal club.
Alonso, who played for Real Madrid for 5 years, wants to visit the Santiago Bernabeu again, which prompted him to reject tempting offers, most notably from Liverpool, last summer.

A new position for Ancelotti at Real Madrid
At the same time, Real Madrid’s management values Ancelotti very much, and for this reason they intend to benefit from him in another honorary position.
Perez will appoint Ancelotti as an ambassador for Real Madrid in appreciation of everything he has provided with the club over two terms.
Ancelotti will accept this position, especially since he previously announced that Real Madrid is his last coaching station and that he does not even think about coaching a national team when he leaves Los Blancos.
El Clasico is one of the reasons for Ancelotti’s departure
Despite the apparent great confidence of the Madrid management in Ancelotti, the performance shown by the team at the beginning of this season made them realize that it is time for a change.
Ancelotti took over Real Madrid in 2021, succeeding Zinedine Zidane, and has since led the club to two Champions League titles, two La Liga titles and one Copa del Rey.
So far, Ancelotti has not been able to find a winning attacking combination with Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior, while Jude Bellingham is angry about constantly changing his position.
With the 4-0 defeat in the Clasico to Barcelona, anger towards the coach began to grow within Perez’s administration, but the decision was made to keep him until the end of the season and then thank him.
