Real Madrid Star Ruled Out of European Super Cup After Serious Injury

Eduardo Camavinga will be unable to play for Real Madrid against Atalanta in the European Super Cup after suffering a serious knee injury.

The French star was training normally with Real Madrid on Tuesday when he was subjected to a strong challenge from his compatriot Aurélien Tchouaméni, forcing him to leave training.

There was widespread concern within Real Madrid about this injury, but initial tests confirmed that he had not suffered a cruciate ligament rupture, and therefore his absence from the field may not be long.

Initial tests also revealed that Camavinga is most likely suffering from a sprain in his left knee, and he is expected to undergo further tests on Wednesday to accurately determine the nature of his injury and the expected duration of his absence.

Camavinga is Real Madrid’s only absentee for the match against Atalanta, after coach Carlo Ancelotti announced that his team is injury-free except for young player Juan Martinez, who suffered a cruciate ligament rupture last week.
