Real Madrid takes sole lead in La Liga after tough win over Valencia (Video)

Real Madrid achieved an important win over host Valencia 2-1, in the postponed match of round 12 of the Spanish League, which was played at Mestalla Stadium.

Valencia took the lead in the 27th minute through Hugo Duro, and in the second half Jude Bellingham missed a penalty kick, and Vinicius Junior was sent off after assaulting the Bats’ goalkeeper.

While everyone thought that Valencia would hold out defensively against Real Madrid with 10 players, the solution came from Luka Modric and turned the match upside down.

The Croatian international, after a pass between him and Bellingham, was alone in front of the goal and scored the equalizer for Real in the 85th minute.

In the 94th minute, Bellingham took advantage of a serious defensive error to also be alone in front of the goal and put the ball in the Bats’ net.

Valencia almost equalized in the last minute of the match after a fantastic shot from Andre Almeida was on its way to the goal but it took a strange deflection and hit the crossbar.

With the victory over Valencia, Real Madrid is alone at the top of the La Liga standings with 43 points, two points ahead of second-placed Atletico Madrid, and five points ahead of third-placed Barcelona.
